Year 9 pupils visited Greenmount CAFRE Campus as part of their Employability studies. They were given a guided tour around the dairy farm and also had the opportunity to see what an average day on the beef and sheep farm looked like. Pupils were in awe of the huge milking parlour, the robotic sweeper that is used to clean the farm yard and the three massive bulls that are kept on the farms. The girls in particular loved getting the chance to pet and cuddle the new born lambs. There were several very interested budding farmers who asked our tour guide, Fergus Miskelly, lots of interesting questions about Farm Safety and Tractor courses which they are hoping to complete in a few years.
