Post 16B Charity Event
Class 16 B raised £45 for “Pretty n Pink” Breast Cancer charity this term by selling reusable shopping bags. We are delighted to be donating this amount to such a worthwhile charity in recognition of those people who we know and love at this time suffering cancer.

Frozen Fun at Castle Tower
Pupils were treated to a special performance from the Frozen singers organised by Mr. Alan Boal, father of Alana Boal in Post 16B.Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the singing and dancing. Castle Tower pupils making new friends
Pupils from the Nursery class and Mrs O’Hara’s class met up and shared some fun activities together. You can tell by the look on their faces how much they enjoyed their time together.

Class 5 Horse Riding
Class 5 have been going horse riding this half term. They really look forward to getting back each week and learning how to get their horse to move and stop. They have all shown great confidence as the weeks progress.

Year 9 Pupils examining a cows heart
Year 9 pupils are studying the human body in Science.. They are learning about the structure and function of the lungs, heart, kidneys and liver. They enjoyed looking at a cows heart and working out how it all worked.

Boxing Club for Year 11 Pupils!
Through Extended Schools we have set up a boxing club for our year 11 pupils. Ballymena ‘Bear’ helps launch Borough’s Christmas card with Castle Tower pupil Zoe’s winning design

Class 3 at work

Japanese fans made by Post 16B
Class Post 16B displaying the beautiful Japanese fans they made. Pupils are studying contrasting cultures as part of their ASDAN work and had to look at objects used in a different country. We decorated the fan with the traditional choice of cranes, flowers and in particular chrysanthemums which symbolise long life.
